ChatGPT recommended everyone but BetterSocials.
In July, when someone asked ChatGPT for a tool that replies to comments and DMs in their own voice, it named ManyChat, Buffer and Hootsuite. Across the 38 questions BetterSocials tracked that month, it showed up in fewer than 3 answers out of 100.
Its buyers asked AI and picked from the short list it gave them. Be on it and you're in the running. Miss it and they never hear your name.
“Every buyer we wanted was asking ChatGPT first, and ChatGPT had never heard of us.”

So it answered those questions with Amaware.
Amaware asked ChatGPT, Gemini and Google the questions BetterSocials' buyers ask, every day, and showed who got named in each answer.
Each question that left BetterSocials out became one article on its own blog. Amaware drafted each one, and a person read it before it was published. Thirty went live between September 27 and October 13.
“I stopped guessing what to write. The list told me which question to answer next, and the draft was most of the way there before I touched it.”

Then ChatGPT started naming it.
On October 14, Amaware asked ChatGPT for the best AI tool to reply to comments and DMs in your own voice. ChatGPT listed BetterSocials first and linked to its article.
A single answer is a sample. The same question can get a different answer tomorrow, so Amaware asks it every day. In the two weeks before, ChatGPT named BetterSocials in 6 of 15 answers to that question. Gemini named it in 9 of 15 answers, first every time.
Visitors from AI search went from 6 in July to 237 in September. That month, 30 of the 74 new signups who said where they heard about it wrote ChatGPT. Since October 11, someone has started a trial with a card on file every day.
AI search changes fast. ChatGPT changed models twice in October, and visits dipped for a week. The answers naming BetterSocials kept climbing the whole time. Daily tracking showed the dip was ChatGPT's change.
“Someone signs up and writes 'ChatGPT' in the how-did-you-hear box most days now. In July that box said YouTube, or nothing.”
What is the best AI tool to reply to comments and DMs in my own voice?
If your goal is to have AI reply to comments and DMs so naturally that people think you wrote the replies yourself, I'd look for a tool that learns from your actual messages, not one that simply uses a generic “friendly and professional” tone.
My top recommendation is to start with Vista Social if you want a social media inbox with AI replies, or compare voice-focused tools if sounding exactly like you is the priority. vistasocial.com bettersocials.ai

One important tip
Start with AI-drafted replies that you approve, rather than letting AI answer every message automatically. Give it examples of your real replies, your usual expressions and emojis, phrases you never use, and answers to common questions. Then automate only the straightforward messages. This helps preserve your personality and reduces the risk of sending an inaccurate or awkward reply.
